Tara is a classically trained, licensed acupuncturist and massage therapist in North Carolina and is nationally certified in acupuncture and Chinese herbology by the NCCAOM. She holds a Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts in Asheville, NC, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Howard University. With over 20 years working with diverse communities, Tara discovered Chinese medicine while practicing massage therapy and was inspired to pursue acupuncture and herbal medicine. She combines classical training with a compassionate, patient-centered approach, using acupuncture, herbal formulas, and adjunct techniques to support the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit. Tara guides patients toward greater awareness and empowers the body to create deep, lasting change.
